About The Position

We are looking for a Billing Specialist to join the Abdo team. If you are a detail-oriented professional with a knack for numbers and a passion for accuracy, this role is for you! This role is responsible for providing billing support services to the firm, as a member of the internal accounting team. The Billing Specialist must be meticulous with details and able to work independently, while maintaining confidential information. At Abdo , we’re not your typical accounting firm. Requirements

• Associate's degree from a two-year college or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of billing experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking and communication, with a focus on customer service
• Desire to work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Maintain updated and accurate data in accounting systems (CCH products)
• Set up new clients, projects & tasks
• Serve as a system expert for firm's billing system
• Update clients and projects daily and roll forward as necessary
• Ensure accuracy and timely processing of invoices
• Review and correct WIP for projects as needed
• Assist with project budgets
• Conduct billing for assigned segments/partners/managers
• Perform ongoing reviews of the billing system and support month end billing requirements
• Make changes to staff time when requested
• Support partners and managers with project reports within our Data Analytics Tool - Compass
• Support continuous improvement of billing processes, controls, and system usage
