About The Position

The Billing Specialist position processes and submits all DMEPOS claims, as well as reconciles and makes corrections for all claims processed in order to receive reimbursement and balance accounts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of related work experience preferred.
• Experience working in the medical industry preferred.
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.
• Intermediate proficiency with computers is required.
• Experience in insurance claims required.
• Strong quantitative and analytical competency
• Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• Training in ICD-10 coding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Claims submission and reconciling of accounts.
• Send corrected claims.
• Balance customer claims accounts, process secondary claims and patient charges.
• Process all payor claim audits.
• Gather requested documentation and submit to payor.
• Work aging report.
• Determine if claim was received by payor and reason for non-payment or denial.
• Make correction and resubmit claims.
• Perform other duties as requested.
