About The Position

CarDon and Associates is seeking a Corporate AR Specialist. Weekly pay and great benefits! The A/R Field Analyst is responsible to assigned communities for evaluating accounting and accounts receivable functions, assisting with training, implementing systems and procedures designed to make billing and collections effective and efficient, and assure compliance with accepted accounting practices, state and federal regulations, and company policies.

Requirements

  • An associate degree, or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, and two years of billing experience in a healthcare setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations including billing guidelines and knowledge of Veterans and insurance billing guidelines.
  • Must be familiar with UB92.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft, Excel and Outlook.
  • Must be highly detail oriented.
  • Has ability to read, analyze, and interpret government regulations, technical procedures, professional journals, and general business periodicals.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Has good time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and organize them accordingly.
  • Has the communication skills and disposition needed to communicate effectively with co-workers, community staff, residents, resident representatives and families, government agencies, and third-party payers, if needed.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Must have a valid Indiana Operator's License.
  • Maintains good attendance and completes mandatory inservice training as required.
  • Is able to work as need to complete assigned duties including evenings and weekends.
  • Has sufficient hearing to hear the conversational voice and adequate near and far vision to complete duties.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates the billing and collection services in assigned communities.
  • Evaluates systems governing accounts receivables to identify compliance and opportunities for improvement within assigned communities and makes recommendations to the Administrator and Corporate A/R Manager as needed.
  • Helps in training of Business Office Managers and other accounts receivable associates as requested.
  • Augments as needed the billing and collections activities of the Business Office conducted within assigned communities.
  • Visits assigned communities as needed.
  • Confers with the Administrator upon each visit and provides reports and updates as needed to the Corporate A/R Manager.
  • Attends any administrative training meetings as scheduled.
  • Makes presentations at administrative training meetings when requested.
  • Reviews non-coverage letters issued by the community's Business Office to assure that they are timely and accurate.
  • Complies with customer services principles and reports any concerns identified during a visit to the Administrator.
  • Reviews the community's Resident Funds and Petty Cash processes to ensure compliance with accounting practices, state and federal regulations, and accuracy and accountability.
  • Is available to assigned communities during an inspection survey to provide support to the Business Office with report and information that may be requested by surveyors; assists with resolving any noted issues within the Business Office.
  • Keeps information confidential at all times and complies with filing, computer, and privacy protocols that prevent unauthorized access to information.
  • Conducts themselves with professionalism and accountability.
