About The Position

The Billing Specialist / Project Accountant at H2M architects + engineers plays a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the firm. This position is responsible for project set-up and maintenance, ensuring timely and accurate billing, and providing daily financial assistance to designated business groups under the supervision of the Manager of Project Accounting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related discipline
• Prior accounting/finance, customer service and/or related experience
• Prior experience with BST Enterprise preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills
• Excellent planning and organization skills
• Problem analysis, judgment and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team player
• Ability to multi-task and work in fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of Adobe Professional preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate billing for designated projects
• Provide day-to-day general financial assistance for business groups
• Set up and maintain projects in BST accounting system
• Review proposal and contracts to ensure proper billing procedures; providing guidance and follow up as needed
• Review of timesheets and expense reports
• Perform other like duties as assigned
