About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring accuracy and timely processing of all order- to-cash processes, including enrollments, billing, invoicing, and payment processing for multiple retail gas and electric markets. The individual is responsible for supporting customer acquisition and retention through regular system audits and maintenance efforts including identifying and delivering creative process improvements and system enhancements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, Associates degree or similar a plus
  • 2+ years of business experience required in billing applications (i.e. Siebel, SAP, Lodestar, ISTA, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to meet highest attendance requirements
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
  • Ability to use personal computer, calculator, etc
  • Could involve some lifting up to 20 pounds
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time without much movement
  • Ability to work in time-sensitive environment with non-flexible deadlines
  • All candidates must have the ability to speak, read and write English

Responsibilities

  • Perform reconciliation activities from order to cash with a keen focus on key metrics and data elements including premise, status and balance information
  • Interface with utilities and internal departments as needed in an effort to ensure transactions are processed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Support customer acquisition by resolving customer specific needs related to customer billing inquiries or issues
  • Maintain regular audits on the system to ensure accuracy and use critical thinking to work exceptions, analyze errors and provide root cause analysis in an effort to implement systematic fixes, rather than repetitive data fixes
  • Responsible for research and documentation of all information pertaining to order to cash for all markets and commodities
  • Develop and maintain all current and new process documentation
  • Work with internal and external/vendor cross-functional teams to resolve errors and implement process improvement
  • Track department key performance indicators using analysis of market data and internal database
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned
