The Billing Representative is responsible for insuring assigned accounts receivable functions are performed within the targets for day’s outstanding, billing windows, percentage of A/R and cash. They will also perform A/R related assignments including those that are complex in nature where considerable judgment, analysis and initiative are required. Responsible for conducting all quality assurance efforts in preparation for billing/chart audits.

Requirements

  • Minimum two (2) years of accounts receivable/customer service experience with at least one (1) year of recent experience in healthcare billing and collections to include: computerized healthcare systems, cash receipts, private collections, Medicaid, Medicare, managed care and traditional insurance
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
  • Intermediate skills in using Microsoft Office Suite e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Interpersonal relationship and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, well organized, detail oriented and able to appropriately prioritize
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) years of accounts receivable/customer service experience supporting healthcare billing and collections
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Bilingual
