About The Position

The Billing Representative / Accounts Receivable I position involves handling and resolving inquiries from customers regarding billing. The role requires managing outgoing phone calls and providing exceptional customer service. The position is a 6-month contract to hire, with a start date of March 10th, 2025. The worksite is located in Concord, CA, and the schedule is Monday to Friday from 7 am to 4:30 pm, with the possibility of rare weekend work. Training will consist of 8 weeks, including 6 weeks of general training followed by 2 weeks of accounts receivables training.

Requirements

• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to handle billing inquiries and resolve issues
• Experience with accounts receivables processes
• Excellent communication skills
• Tech-savvy with the ability to assist customers through technical issues

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming telephone calls and initiate outbound calls to customers (60% of the day on the phone)
• Update payment methods on customers accounts
• Process payments and refunds while on the phone
• Initiate outbound calls to collect payments (soft collections on recently past due, max of 2 months overdue)
• Provide exceptional customer service experience
• Resolve billing and customer credit issues including recording and reconciling payments
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Cancellations and reinstatements of accounts
• Schedule follow up calls and tasks
• Use 3rd party websites and portals to assist customers
• Provide solutions to customers to prevent cancellations
• Meet goals each month as outlined by direct supervisors
• Adapt to dynamic environment which includes change in processes, procedures, products, etc.
• Perform additional duties as required based on business needs
• Should be tech savvy and be able to guide callers through technical issues while providing excellent support.
