We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing & Medical Authorizations Specialist to join our Finance & Medical Authorizations team. This role ensures accurate billing, timely insurance authorizations, and compliance with payor requirements to safeguard revenue and maintain uninterrupted client care.

Requirements

High school diploma required; Associate degree or certification in Health Administration, Billing, or Medical Office preferred.
Minimum 2 years in medical billing, authorizations, or healthcare finance.
Familiarity with DOL, Medicaid, Medicare, TRICARE, or home health billing preferred.
Proficiency in EMR systems, billing software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree or certification in Health Administration, Billing, or Medical Office preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage client accounts, including insurance-based and private pay.
Prepare and submit invoices, billing statements, and financial reports.
Initiate and track medical authorizations for nursing, therapy, and home health services.
Conduct billing audits and ensure compliance with Medicaid, Medicare, DOL, and private insurers.
Maintain strong relationships with payor sources and assist in expanding referral connections.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely documentation and coverage continuity.
