About The Position

The Provider Insurance Follow-up Specialist is responsible for timely follow up of professional claims for all assigned provider practice locations. Works an assigned portion of AR and aging reports. Researches and writes appeals on denied accounts. Responds to billing claim inquiries and works to resolve any claim issues.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED, (Required)
• 2 years Revenue Cycle experience (Required)

Nice To Haves

• Bachelors Degree, or greater will count as 1 year of additional experience (Preferred)
• CRCR - Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Works assigned portion of Accounts Receivable (AR) and aging reports.
• Follows up on professional claims and zero pay EOBs for assigned provider practice locations to obtain payment.
• Researches and writes appeals on denied accounts within department guidelines.
• Resubmits applicable claims within required timeframe.
• Responds and resolves insurance company requests for information and works to identify issues and bring to management’s attention.
• Resolves patient inquiries and complaints.
