About The Position

Billing EDI Analyst III Labcorp is seeking a remote Billing EDI Analyst III to join our team! Work Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8:00am-5:00pm EST RESPONSIBILITIES: · Billing EDI vendor liaison providing daily interaction with potential EDI trading partners, conducts testing to evaluate the quality and appropriate outcomes of the vendor's EDI data, identifies specific issues or concerns and recommends vendor improvements to overcome obstacles to successful billing data transmission to LabCorp. · Client EDI lead for New Vendor Development Certification preparing vendor folders and conducting due diligence prior to contact with new vendor. Participates in New Vendor Development kickoff call by reviewing orders/results, certification timeline, and test plan. Continues working with vendor and participating in calls throughout the certification process. · Conducts detailed data analysis for existing vendor issues by utilizing industry, company, and process knowledge and extensive experience to troubleshoot, works directly with IT and the vendor technical resources to obtain resolution, identifies total claim exposure, and leads efforts to triage for rescue and/or recovery of impacted claims. · Routinely engaged with senior management to facilitate process improvements resulting in cleaner billing data, thereby improving DSO, reducing error handling, and improving customer satisfaction. · Works closely with Implementations team by educating resources at all levels internally and externally and ask specific questions to obtain the details needed to develop training, plans of action, or course corrections for how processes are being done. · Develops detailed strategic plans, complete with full risk assessments, mitigation steps, action registers with stakeholders, milestones, and timelines. Executes plans within required timelines, apprises senior management of status updates daily or weekly, alerts to obstacles and risks encountered, engages necessary resources to overcome and achieve deliverables, or provides clearly articulated reasons for delays. · Coordinates external and internal resources for strategic initiative participation; provides direction and guidance to successfully drive accomplishment of key objectives. · Client EDI lead for various special projects and tasks. · Mentors and trains Billing EDI Analysts and Sr. Analysts by providing insight to team members, creates, and conducts training content, develops new processes when needed and may directly maintain master data related to the construction or use of EDI data. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 5 or more years Healthcare Billing experience
  • Adaptable and able to manage shifting priorities
  • Delivers professional, composed customer service in challenging situations
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong attention to detail with proven problem-solving ability
  • Effective collaborator across cross-functional teams
  • Clear written and verbal communicator across dispersed groups

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years or more of experience with HL7 files
  • EDI healthcare billing
  • Previous mentorship or training experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access
