About The Position

The Billing coordinator will report to the Billing Supervisor and ensure accurate, consistent collection, review, submission and maintenance of Medicaid Billing for all EIHAB Programs and will be expected to perform all necessary tasks to include positive customer service and the timely billing and collection of Medicaid Claims.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required, Bachelor's Preferred
  • 2+ plus years of billing and accounting experience required
  • Experience in professional services/ OPWDD/DDI industry preferred
  • Strong Excel and Word proficiency required
  • Detail-oriented and meticulous work style
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced and high volume environment
  • Ability to reduce error rate of transactional items
  • Knowledge of governmental accounting & OPWDD regulations preferred
  • Familiar with Financial and Accounting Resource Guide
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in preparation and maintenance of accounting spreadsheets utilizing software packages
  • Ability to review and to interpret financial data
  • Ability to think clearly in stressful situations, a high stress tolerance required, and works with frequent interruptions.
  • Frequent prolonged and irregular hours are required.

Responsibilities

  • The collection of weekly billing submissions.
  • The review and processing of billing submissions to ensure accuracy and compliance with State regulations.
  • Ensuring that the billing is processed with the appropriate rates, and codes in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Proper maintenance and storage of Medicaid Billing documents.
  • Maintaining a solid understanding and working knowledge of all applicable states billing regulations.
  • Proper sharing of information as it relates to billing data with internal stakeholders.
  • Creating and submitting monthly billing, and revenues received reports from each program on a monthly basis to the Comptroller and Executive Director.
  • Preparing and complying with year-end audit schedules
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management
