About The Position

Kendal at Oberlin is a full-service life plan community, which primarily serves older adults in the Quaker tradition. Residents are assured a lifetime of healthcare including short- and long-term nursing services, memory care and assisted living. Equally important, residents enjoy an independent, enriching living experience. Kendal at Oberlin's Finance Department is currently seeking a Billing Coordinator for a part-time, 24hrs/week, Mon, Weds, Fri position. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Billing Coordinator will assist with all billing tasks as assigned related to fitness center, resident monthly billing, hospice and miscellaneous billings for Kendal at Oberlin. Further responsibilities include but are not limited to: Maintain individual Resident record files (both electronically and in hard copy as needed) in an organized manner. Establish an Admission Record for all residents who enter the community at all levels of care. Receive and process charges from all departments related to residential billings. Responsible for the accurate and complete preparation, processing, printing, distribution and review of monthly billing for all residents. Obtain and maintain resident meal plan selection. Maintain and update the census at all levels of care on a regular basis. Assist with reconciling resident payments to the general ledger on a monthly basis. Prepare the monthly shared service fee billing.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate various office equipment such as fax machine, copier, computer and calculator.
  • Must have experience with Cubigo and Point Click Care (PCC).
  • Must have billing experience.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in person, writing and on the telephone regarding complex technical matters.
  • Ability to set priorities and schedule time to meet deadlines.
  • Maintains confidentiality at all times.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
  • Effective, pleasant interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
