We are currently hiring a construction Billing Coordinator who will manage the full-cycle billing process for construction projects, including preparing AIA billing , progress billings, and change orders . The Billing Coordinator will verify subcontractor invoices, monitor accounts receivable, and ensure compliance with contract terms. This role requires strong attention to detail and collaboration with project managers.

Requirements

  • 5 years’ experience in construction accounting or billing is required.
  • Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks) and Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Understanding of construction contracts, lien waivers, and payment applications.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Being familiar with billing portals is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit accurate monthly progress billings, final invoices, and AIA documents.
  • Verify accuracy of billing data against contracts, change orders, and subcontractor agreements.
  • Monitor AR aging reports, follow up on overdue payments, and resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with project managers to track project costs, budgets, and expenses.
  • Set up new jobs in the accounting system and maintain detailed records.
