About The Position

Trusted Results Therapy Group (TRTG) is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Billing & Collections Clerk to support our billing operations under the direction of the Billing Manager. This role is responsible for responding to billing-related inquiries, managing client payments, and following up on outstanding balances while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and client care. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate financial records, timely collections, and positive communication with clients regarding their accounts.

Requirements

Prior experience in medical billing, collections, or accounts receivable (behavioral health preferred but not required)
Familiarity with EOBs, insurance payments, and patient responsibility
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Professional and compassionate communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to handle sensitive financial conversations respectfully
Comfortable working with billing systems, EHRs, and basic spreadsheets
Ability to follow established workflows and escalation procedures

Nice To Haves

Experience in mental health or healthcare billing
Knowledge of insurance plans, copays, deductibles, and coinsurance
Experience working in a multi-provider or group practice setting

Responsibilities

Respond to client questions regarding:
Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)
Invoices and statements
Client payments and account balances
Process and post client payments accurately and timely
Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue balances
Conduct collection outreach with professionalism, empathy, and compliance
Work closely with the Billing Manager to resolve billing discrepancies
Document all billing and collection activities accurately in the EHR/billing system
Communicate with internal team members as needed to resolve billing issues
Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and company policies
