About The Position

The Billing Clerk is responsible for processing vehicle sales deals and ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete. This role verifies costs—including reconditioning and equipment add-ons—for the accounting department and prepares legal transfer documents for the Department of Licensing (DOL).

Requirements

Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions and information
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Automotive accounting experience preferred

Responsibilities

Receive and process paperwork from the Finance & Insurance (F&I) department
Prepare payoff checks for new vehicle purchases and trade-ins
Verify deal costs, including reconditioning and add-ons, for accounting accuracy
Prepare and submit legal transfer documentation to the DOL
Maintain a professional, courteous, and non-discriminatory demeanor when interacting with the public
Adhere to dealership policies, including harassment-free workplace and non-discrimination standards
Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures (Compli system)
Accurately track and record hours worked in accordance with company timekeeping policies
Follow company dress code standards and wear employee ID badge daily
Perform additional duties as assigned
