About The Position

W-L Construction and Paving, a CRH company, is one of southwest Virginia's largest grading contractors and the largest paving contractor in the area employing more than 250 employees during the construction months. Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • Knowledge with Windows, Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Ability to communicate sufficiently with diverse groups to solve problems, exchange ideas, and to give and receive detailed verbal instructions
  • Ability to speak effectively and professionally to customers or employees of organization

Responsibilities

  • Validate and process asphalt tickets from point-of-sales system daily
  • Correspond with asphalt plants, customers and other departments to resolve issues
  • Report asphalt volumes weekly to management
  • Enter and process hauler time sheets daily
  • Process and post hauler payments weekly
  • Maintain hauler contracts and insurance information
  • Correspond with haulers and insurance agents
  • Research customer and haul discrepancies
  • Populate and distribute customer statements
  • Strict adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley and GAAP rules
  • Prepare for and respond to internal and external audit requests
  • Other duties as directed
