About The Position

The Local Biller position is responsible for accurate and timely billing, maintaining client communications, and ensuring prompt payments are received for billed services.

Requirements

  • 2-year degree OR equivalent work-related experience preferably within Billing/Collections/Accounts Receivable field.
  • Three years’ experience in a fast-paced office environment, knowledge, and the ability to use Microsoft Excel proficiently is required.
  • Detail-oriented, articulate, and passion for driving financial results and desire to help Bureau Veritas, exceed our financial targets regarding accurate and timely billing of our clients.
  • Candidates must have strong problem-solving skills, written, verbal, and electronic communication skills, and excellent presentation and listening skills.
  • A self-starter who can work independently, and be proactive, personable, and able to respond positively to the challenges of a dynamic work environment.
  • The ability to quickly understand and size up opportunities and/or problems and respond with creative, innovative ideas and solutions is necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all billing activities within their assigned locations.
  • Process and submit invoices to customers within the same day.
  • Maintain customer billing communications and interactions.
  • Continued monitoring of accounts identified with outstanding debts.
  • Contact clients to resolve invoice issues and seek payment status.
  • Keeping accurate records and reporting on billing activities.
  • Escalate billing issues as necessary to manager and internal support teams.
  • Promptly managing billing inquiries from Leaders, Coordinators, and KAMs.
  • Assist Regional Billers in price leakage and revenue recovery initiatives.
  • Monitor billing KPI’s and drive performance improvement
  • Reduce completed WIP not invoiced > 3 days
  • Minimize WIP accruals by billing linearly throughout the month
  • Reduce aged WIP
  • No $0 proformas
  • Improve billing accuracy
  • Contributes to a positive team environment, proactively aids teammates with difficult contacts, demonstrate effective communication and cooperation with other supervisors, and members of other departments in managing department wide issues and workload.
  • Contribute to a collaborative management process through regular meetings.
