About The Position

The Billing Assistant & AR Collections Specialist at Advanced Motion Therapeutic Massage is responsible for managing billing processes, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining effective communication with the billing team. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial health of the practice by managing claims submissions, resolving discrepancies, and tracking outstanding payments.

Requirements

• 1 year of experience in patient care or related field.
• Mid-level experience in billing and collections.

Responsibilities

• Manage and balance claims submission out of practice management system to clearing house.
• Address and resolve clearing house rejections and analyze trends to report to management.
• Maintain a communication chain with Billing Manager and Administrator.
• Address and resolve claims that have been stopped by claim edits.
• Maintain claim edit libraries for each respective payor.
• Manage and maintain the flow of paper claim submissions and supporting documentation sent at the time of billing.
• Manage and track claim holds.
• Prepare workman's compensation and auto claims.
• Track and send invoices for outstanding attorney cases and keep proper reports and documentation.
• Daily balance of all department's revenue.
• Generate and send invoices to patients.
• Track outstanding payments from insurances and patients, and actively contact customers to collect overdue balances.
