At the Appalachian Agency for Senior Citizens, we have something for you. We are looking for a highly qualified and motivated professional to serve as our Billing and Reimbursement Specialist in the accounting department. Responsibilities include accounts receivable, maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, preparing daily deposits, and recording cash receipts.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in accounting required.
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service, time management, and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Must be able to function in a TEAM environment, create rapport, and collaborate.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or related field preferred.
  • Two years of accounting experience preferred.
  • Experience in human services, health, or non-profits preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills in finance and accounting software and Microsoft Excel preferred.
