About The Position

We're hiring a Billing and Collections Manager to assist our Controllers in managing all aspects of the billing and collections of client fees. No law firm experience is required. What matters most is that you're organized, quick on your feet, and eager to grow. Our firm has three separate practice areas that you would assist – Criminal Law, Family Law, and Estate and Probate Law. An ideal candidate would have interest in helping people with these types of legal issues navigate a difficult time in their life.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Accounting preferred)
  • At least 3 years of experience in accounting or a related role
  • Hands-on experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Familiarity with cash management and bank reconciliations
  • Experience using billing software and maintaining a General Ledger
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and regulations
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Analytical, problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional phone etiquette
  • High level of integrity with the ability to handle confidential information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • A team-oriented attitude with a positive, learning-focused approach

Nice To Haves

  • Law office experience is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist in cash management activities, including opening and closing client accounts.
  • Maintaining billing records.
  • File Maintenance and Organization.
  • Communicate with Clients regarding trust balances.
