About The Position

The Neil Jones Food Company is an industry leader, processing superior quality fresh-packed, vine-ripened California tomatoes and Pacific Northwest fruit. Headquartered in Vancouver, Washington, NJFC has been providing our nation’s discerning foodservice, retail, industrial and institutional customers with the finest quality canned and pouched products for over 50 years. NJFC operates three production facilities: Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA.; San Benito Foods, in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA. We are looking for a Billing Specialist I to be responsible for the timely and accurate billing of warehouse orders. This role will be responsible for assisting in pre-and-post billing auditing of orders, monitoring open orders to ensure that orders are billed timely, filling of orders, and archiving of BOL’s at our corporate headquarters in Vancouver, WA. Requirements

  • High school diploma required; Associates degree or some college preferred; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
  • 1+ years of demonstrated administrative, office or sales support experience.
  • Experience dealing with high volume processing (250+ invoice a week).
  • Excel and Word experience, basic math skills of adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing, and high level of accuracy and attention to detail in your work.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, background check including employment and educational verification, credit screen, and to work extended schedule during the fresh pack season, typically July to early October.

Responsibilities

  • Process invoices including EDI invoices in a B2B environment utilizing an ERP.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure timely and accurate transactions and documentation.
  • Match BOL‘s and accurately bill shipped orders from warehouses.  Resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor unbilled orders to ensure all shipped orders are billed in a timely manner.
  • Complete daily open order reports for management.
