About The Position
The Biller position at Gila River Health Care involves analyzing insurance-related information to ensure that all services provided are processed, coded, and billed accurately and efficiently. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial health of the organization by ensuring that billing processes are followed correctly. The Biller will perform essential data entry functions that are vital to the department's operations and will communicate effectively with various departments and personnel regarding relevant claim information. Additionally, the Biller will assist with other billing-related activities as necessary, contributing to the overall efficiency of the billing department. In this role, the Biller will create, edit, validate, enter, and maintain all accounts and insurance claim data, performing follow-ups as needed to ensure accuracy. The position requires the preparation and submission of accurate and timely statements of resident charges to payers, and if necessary, submitting adjustments to billing for management approval. The Biller will also receive and review daily, weekly, and monthly production/error reports and Explanation of Benefit statements to identify errors and make necessary corrections. Effective communication is essential, as the Biller must interact with payers and other Gila River Health Care staff in a clear, professional, and timely manner. Moreover, the Biller will be responsible for accurate and timely data inputs and updates of patient information into the billing system from source documents and claim forms, based on service types and procedures performed. Maintaining accurate data inputs and updates of payer information in the system is also a critical task. The Biller must manage data ethically and accurately, complying with all regulatory requirements regarding patient and resident personal information. Regular reviews and updates of patient information related to primary and secondary insurance coverage are necessary to maintain billing accuracy. The Biller may also be asked to perform other job-related activities as requested by management.
