Writing Center Consultants coach writers on their writing processes and their works in progress and develop a variety of strategies for supporting writers. They continue learning about best practices in tutoring writing via reading Writing Center scholarship. They work with faculty, tutoring supervisors, and their fellow tutors. Other duties include but are not limited to maintaining a welcoming Writing Center environment and filling out report forms for tutoring appointments. Bilingual Consultants’ duties may also include working with English Language Learners, facilitating language conversation groups, and serving as interpreters, as needed.
