HAPO is now accepting applications for an on-site, Bilingual Virtual Service Professional in Kennewick, WA. We are seeking an individual who is ambitious, self-motivated and who strives to represent HAPO’s core commitment “Be in the Moment” and deliver service that will “Defy Expectations” with our members, community as well as the team they are a part of. Your ability to share product information, listen to our members' questions, and confidently handle objections is essential for making a difference in our members' lives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills in both English and Spanish languages and be able to navigate cross-cultural interactions with professionalism and empathy.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate required
  • Fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written) required

Nice To Haves

  • Proven experience in a bilingual role preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills preferred
  • Ability to translate and interpret with accuracy and cultural sensitivity preferred

Responsibilities

  • Comfortable portraying oneself using video software and hardware
  • Develop positive relationships with members and coworkers by listening carefully and respectfully
  • Structure, quote and follow up on loan transactions from origination to close through all virtual channels
  • Responsible for the opening and modifying of consumer accounts via video or web
  • Ability to assist members with account modifications
  • Demonstrate the essential skills related to the use of the credit union's computer systems and other related equipment connected to job responsibilities
  • Proficient in quoting rates and opening sub-shares
  • Provide general IRA information and investment options in addition to process transaction on IRAs
  • Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain products, listen to customers, and effectively overcome customer objections
