About The Position
POSITION: Certified Bilingual Tutor DATE: October 17, 2025 LOCATION: Tinley Park High School EFFECTIVE DATE: TBD QUALIFICATIONS A bachelor’s degree in English or a related subject area preferred. A valid Illinois Certificate Type 09 with Bilingual Spanish endorsement preferred. JOB GOAL: To motivate and assist each pupil to develop competence in basic English and content area skills and to assist them in learning to apply language skills to be successful in content areas. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Tutors secondary pupils in mathematics, social science, science, language arts and health utilizing the courses of study adopted by the Board of Education and appropriate curriculum publications as guidelines in addressing individual course content. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Work Year: 4 hours per day for 140 days or less during the 2025-26 school year. The exact number of days will depend on the start date of the chosen candidate. Fringe Benefits: Not Applicable Salary: $130.00 per day. EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated continually on an informal basis.
