Requirements

• Must hold a valid NYS Level I, II, or III Teaching Assistant Certification or NYS Teacher Certification
• All costs associated with these employment requirements are the responsibility of the employee: Fingerprint clearance from the NY State Department of Education (NYSED) Drug Screening Physical Examination

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to individual and small groups of students.
• Assist students, under the direction of the teacher, in the safe use of construction materials.
• Utilize personal skills to assist in the instructional program as directed by the teacher.
• Provide the teacher with information about the students that will assist in the development of appropriate learning activities.
• Implementation of behavior modification and other data collection.
• Participate in professional development activities as directed by administration.
