The Bilingual Teacher position at Marin School for the 2025 - 2026 school year involves planning, organizing, and providing instruction in both English and the native language of students. The instruction is closely related to and coordinated with the regular instruction program. The teacher will design lessons that enhance creativity and communication skills, focusing on authentic, real-world problems that provide opportunities for problem-solving. The role also includes establishing and maintaining standards for behavior that foster student self-discipline and positive relationships among students, committing to ongoing professional development, and planning learning activities that address individual differences among students. Additionally, the teacher will develop, administer, and evaluate quality formative and summative assessments, monitor and evaluate students' progress, and encourage parental and community involvement in support of instruction. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

  • Plan, organize, and provide instruction in English and in the native language of students.
  • Plan, organize, and provide instruction in verbal and written skills of the native language.
  • Design lessons that enhance creativity and communication skills in relation to authentic, real-world problems.
  • Establish and maintain standards for behavior that foster student self-discipline and positive relationships among students.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development in content area and pedagogy.
  • Plan learning activities to address individual differences among students.
  • Develop, administer, and evaluate quality formative and summative assessments that reflect a balance of content knowledge and problem-solving skills.
  • Monitor and evaluate students' progress in relation to district/school curriculum policies and other planned goals and objectives.
  • Encourage, secure, and maintain the involvement of parents and other community members in support of instruction.
  • Involve parents in the assessment of their children's progress and needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Required certification: Bilingual (902); Master's degree preferred.
  • Three years' successful teaching experience in an urban setting preferred.
  • Experience in the use of educational technology.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and human relations skills.
  • Salary range: $50,825.00 - $105,070.00 based on experience and qualifications.
