Our ORR department is ready to hire an Educational Specialist to join our team. We are looking for compassionate, energetic, and dependable individuals that are committed to focusing on improving educational practices and outcomes specifically for children through curriculum development, instructional support, professional development, and research within their area of expertise. The position involves establishing positive relationships with children and agency staff, overseeing educational enrichment and support, conducting screenings, participating in meetings and trainings, implementing preschool and toddler curricula, coordinating enrichment outings, managing preschool program coverage, guiding child development specialists, overseeing tutoring volunteers, ensuring educational success through IEP participation, facilitating life skills classes, maintaining records, and promoting cultural sensitivity within the shelter environment.
