The Bridgeport Public Schools is seeking a Bilingual Teacher for the Marin School for the 2025 - 2026 school year. This position involves planning, organizing, and providing instruction in both English and the native language of students, ensuring that instruction is closely related to and coordinated with the regular instruction program. The teacher will design lessons that foster creativity and communication skills, addressing real-world problems to enhance problem-solving abilities. The role also includes establishing standards for behavior that promote student self-discipline and positive relationships, committing to ongoing professional development, and planning learning activities that cater to individual differences among students. Additionally, the teacher will develop, administer, and evaluate assessments that reflect a balance of content knowledge and problem-solving skills, monitor student progress, and engage parents and community members in the educational process.

  • Plan, organize, and provide instruction in English and in the native language of students.
  • Plan, organize, and provide instruction in verbal and written skills of the native language.
  • Design lessons that foster creativity and communication skills related to real-world problems.
  • Establish and maintain standards for behavior that foster student self-discipline and positive relationships among students.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development in content area and pedagogy.
  • Plan learning activities to address individual differences among students.
  • Develop, administer, and evaluate quality formative and summative assessments.
  • Monitor and evaluate students' progress in relation to district/school curriculum policies and other planned goals and objectives.
  • Encourage, secure, and maintain the involvement of parents and community members in support of instruction.
  • Involve parents in the assessment of their children's progress and needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Required certification: Bilingual (902); Master's degree preferred.
  • Three years' successful teaching experience in an urban setting preferred.
  • Experience in the use of educational technology.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and human relations skills.
  • Salary range: $50,825.00 - $105,070.00 based on experience and qualifications.
