About The Position

The Bilingual-Spanish Human Resources Manager will lead and support all human resources functions for a 125-employee Film/Flexible Packaging manufacturing facility. This role focuses on overseeing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, compliance, and other HR-related activities to foster a positive workplace culture and ensure alignment with organizational goals. The HR Manager will work closely with leadership to promote core values, support employee engagement, drive retention initiatives, and ensure compliance with employment laws.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of HR experience, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in recruitment, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, with ability to build relationships across all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Nice To Haves

  • HR certification (PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute recruiting strategies to attract qualified candidates for both hourly and salaried roles.
  • Conduct interviews, facilitate onboarding, and support training for new hires.
  • Coordinate pre-employment processes (E-Verify), including background checks, drug testing, and orientation.
  • Serve as the primary contact for employee relations, resolving conflicts, managing grievances, and promoting a positive workplace culture.
  • Lead initiatives to improve employee engagement, job satisfaction, and retention.
  • Support managers in setting performance goals, conducting performance evaluations, and providing feedback.
  • Develop and implement performance improvement plans as needed.
  • Identify training needs and develop/conduct training programs to enhance employee skills, safety, and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws & regulations (OSHA, FMLA, FLSA, ADA, etc.).
  • Maintain accurate employee records and prepare necessary reports.
