About The Position

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
• Experience driving trucks with a GVW over 26,000 lbs.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Ability to perform vehicle inspections and identify mechanical issues.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with dispatchers and customers.
• Ability to map routes and navigate effectively.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs).
• Familiarity with different types of materials being transported.
• Previous experience in a similar driving role.

Responsibilities

• Haul different types of material in and out of the facility.
• Go to various customer sites for deliveries and pickups.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical or safety issues.
• Ensure safe and accurate deliveries and pickups.
• Drive trucks with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000 lbs.
• Perform daily inspections to ensure equipment is safe and up to DOT standards.
• Safely and efficiently unload loads and ensure the material being loaded is safe.
• Obtain paperwork from customers and ensure it reaches the appropriate destinations.
• Map various routes for efficient travel.
• Arrive at destinations by the time set by the dispatcher.
• Maintain electronic logs of driving hours and activities.
• Track and report working hours accurately.
• Comply with DOT standards and regulations.
• Prioritize safety in all driving and loading activities.
