About The Position

The Bilingual Retail Sales Associate at Cox Communications is responsible for creating exceptional customer service experiences while driving sales. This role involves connecting customers with Cox's technology, products, and services, and requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. The associate will report to the Store Manager and collaborate with the Assistant Store Manager and team specialists to meet sales and customer experience targets.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or up to 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Fluency in Spanish, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to meet established sales, retention, and customer experience targets.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for consultative selling.
  • Ability to build relationships and adapt to a diverse customer base.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to be mobile within the store for long periods to greet customers and demonstrate products.
  • Computer literacy with an aptitude for learning communication products and services.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift 25-50 pounds for stock room inventory management.

Nice To Haves

  • Some college experience with a focus in sales, business, or management.
  • One year of experience in a related field (Sales, Retail Sales, Service Industry, etc.).
  • Experience selling Wireless/Mobile products.

Responsibilities

  • Explain and demonstrate product capabilities and offer suggestions based on customer needs.
  • Meet or exceed targets regarding customer experience, sales, and retention.
  • Assist with the opening and closing of the retail store.
  • Properly handle cash transactions.
  • Engage in workshops, special events, and product demonstrations.
  • Support fellow sales agents as needed.
  • Continuously expand knowledge of current Cox products and competitor offerings through training classes.
  • May be required to work in other locations within the geographical area.
