Our vision is simple and bold: To show the world what care should feel like. The Heart of This Role The Pharmacy Clerk creates the front-line experience of our pharmacy. This role ensures patients feel welcomed, informed, and supported when picking up medications, asking questions, or navigating insurance and cost concerns. The Pharmacy Clerk helps patients understand what to expect and what to do next, reducing confusion and preventing gaps in access. This is not just a cashier role. It is a patient-facing role that directly impacts trust, understanding, and follow-through in care. As a bilingual team member, this role is especially important in ensuring patients who prefer Spanish feel fully informed, respected, and included in their care. What This Role Looks Like, Day to Day In this role, CONNECTION means: You welcome patients warmly and treat every interaction with respect, clarity, and patience. You communicate clearly about wait times, refills, pickup steps, and what to do if issues arise. You help patients feel comfortable asking questions, especially those who are confused, stressed, or concerned about cost. You coordinate smoothly with pharmacy technicians and pharmacists so patients are not bounced between team members. You reinforce that the pharmacy is part of the care team and not a separate, transactional service. OWNERSHIP means: You take responsibility for accurate patient information, transactions, and documentation. You ensure checkout processes are correct, compliant, and consistent. You escalate insurance issues, cost concerns, or patient questions promptly and appropriately. You maintain a calm, organized pharmacy front area that supports steady flow. You protect patient privacy and confidentiality in every interaction.
