About The Position

Join Our Team as an Intake Coordinator of Mental Health Services! Childhelp is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Intake Coordinator to join our Mental Health Services team. This role is crucial in ensuring that child victims and their families receive timely and appropriate mental health care. You will be the first point of contact for many families, providing a supportive and organized experience during a critical time. What You’ll Do: As the Intake Coordinator, your primary responsibilities will include: Client Intake & Screening: You'll screen all potential client referrals, whether they come in person, by phone, or electronically. You will manage and prioritize our clinical department waitlists to ensure clients are handled appropriately and efficiently. You will also assist with triage and assignment for immediate interventions. Health Information & Data Management: You will be the custodian of all mental health files. This includes gathering and inputting data into our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. You will also provide support for clinical services billing and handle subpoenas and record requests. Administrative Support: You will help with the completion and submission of clinical services data and grant reports, working closely with the Program Administrator. You will also develop and maintain positive relationships with our partner agencies, including the Phoenix Police Department, Child Protective Services, Phoenix Children’s Hospital, and the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office. Additionally, you will attend team meetings, provide backup for forensic interview scheduling, and ensure crucial deadlines are met.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of one year of professional experience working with children in a care setting.
  • Spanish fluency (bilingual) required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
