About The Position

The Bilingual Member Services Specialist I at Columbia Valley Community Health (CVCH) is a part-time role focused on facilitating patient visits and coordinating appointments. This position is essential for ensuring efficient communication and access to clinic services, particularly for underserved populations, including Migrant Seasonal Farmworkers. The specialist will also handle financial assistance program registrations and provide interpretation services as needed.

Requirements

• High School graduate or GED required; prefer AA degree, Business School diploma, or some college.
• Eligible for Medical Assistant-Registered Licensure.
• Community Health Worker Certification required.
• Apple Health Navigator Level 1 training required.
• Prefer a minimum of 1 year experience in the medical or business/office field or equivalent education and training/certification.
• Previous experience working with benefit enrollment programs in a community health center preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiate patient visits and coordinate patient appointments.
• Collect payments and update patient information in the computer system.
• Provide courteous and efficient telephone access to clinic services.
• Register patients for medical and dental financial assistance programs.
• Coordinate services for Migrant Seasonal Farmworkers and other underserved populations.
• Provide interpretation and facilitate contact between patients/families and appropriate disciplines.
