Requirements

• 1+ year of experience as a medical receptionist in a medical clinic or hospital setting; managing multiple phone lines.
• Excellent customer service and phone etiquette.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish), with the ability to speak with patients in both languages.
• Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).

Nice To Haves

• Two years related experience preferred.
• Associate degree.
• EMR experience preferably with ECW.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Outreach to potential new patients and collecting patient charges.
• Ensure quality customer problems are resolved.
• Initiate coordination of care documents on behalf of patients.
• Maintain the reception area, appointment scheduling, and verification of insurances.
• Answer incoming calls and take and distribute accurate messages.
• Greet visitors and determine the nature of their visit.
• Respond to routine inquiries from internal or external sources.
