About The Position

Position Overview The IMA Group is hiring a motivated and patient‑focused Bilingual Medical Assistant to support our clinical teams during medical examinations and evaluations. This role is essential to ensuring a smooth experience for both patients and providers. Starting pay: $18.50/hour plus a comprehensive benefits package. Our Government Services Division supports local, state, and federal agencies and delivers professional and objective medical and psychological examinations as well as ancillary services. Our Payer Services Division meets the evaluation and screening needs of Carriers, TPAs, Public Entities and Employers and includes behavioral health and physical medicine specialty services, working with a wide range of organizations within the workers' compensation, disability, liability, and auto markets. Our Clinical Research Division performs all types of Phase II-IV clinical trials in multiple therapeutic areas through a flexible nationwide network of site locations and virtual capabilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is required

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Assistant training program a plus
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or clinical setting preferred
  • Medical Assistant certification is helpful but not required
  • Strong understanding of basic medical terminology
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a patient‑centered mindset

Responsibilities

  • Support clinicians during medical exams and assessment visits
  • Prepare patients by recording vital signs, medical history, and relevant information
  • Perform routine clinical tasks including blood draws, EKGs, and diagnostic testing
  • Manage administrative duties such as chart updates, documentation, and patient communication
  • Ensure exam rooms, equipment, and supplies are properly stocked and organized
  • Contribute to a professional, welcoming, and efficient clinical environment
