About The Position

We are currently hiring a bilingual English/Spanish Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist (Certified Phlebotomy Technician) to work in our Bronx-based family medicine practice. Individuals must have a Medical Assistant Certificate/Training Program Completed along with a National Certified Phlebotomy Technician certification to qualify. You will support our Bronx-based family health center where we provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages.

Requirements

Medical Assistant Certificate/Training School
National Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)
Bilingual Spanish/English required.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Computer literacy.
Responsible individual who genuinely wants to support our patients.

Responsibilities

Process blood draws, collects specimens and processes lab orders.
Prepare examination rooms and equipment.
Obtain vital signs, chief complaints, medical history and accurately records in medical records.
Completes referrals and discharges patients.
Assists providers and nurses during all aspects of exams.
Assist provider with treatments Schedules for appointments, verify insurance and demographic information.
