We are currently seeking a talented bilingual (English & Korean) individual to join our Smart Factory Team as a Material Handling Automation Specialist (Korean & English) working with Autonomous Ground Vehicles (AGV) in Clarksville, TN as part of the new LG Electronics Tennessee Factory.

Requirements

  • Manufacturing experience with 5 years of experience working in a production plant with more than 300 employees and understanding the manufacturing process is preferred.
  • Engineering degree is preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a title.
  • Working knowledge and ability to use MS Office applications, specifically MS Excel and CAD drawing, MS PowerPoint for reports, data analysis, etc.
  • Good communication skills with AGV & ACS system developers in Korea.
  • Must be bilingual and able to speak both English & Korean.

Responsibilities

  • In-house logistics/layout optimization and intelligent solution development/operation for realization of intelligent autonomous production system.
  • Manage the production system for smooth operation of production/quality/in-house logistics of the corporation, and promote the advancement of DX (informatization/intelligence) in all areas of the corporation.
  • Establish a control system that has a synchronized production system in all areas (main line - sub line - each shop) and integrated control of equipment/quality/logistics/production.
  • Action taken when idle work issue is expected, on-site support when issue occurs.
  • Responsible for designing when layout changes are required for Tennessee plant production.
  • New depot layout, business consultation with related departments, review of layout when changing depot, and CAD drawing schedule setting.
  • Improvement and analysis management of AGV (Automatic guided vehicle) & AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robots) operation in TN plant.
  • Understanding of AGV operating system and skilled operation are required (ACS & MCS System, Digital twin System, etc.).
  • Manage for Team KPIs & Personal KPIs.
  • Weekly report and monthly KPI report preparation.
  • Conducting DX projects to improve team work or corporate production environment operations.
  • Support for tasks that require team work such as depot layout change, QR work, Physical carts inventory, 5S & FI-11.
