Under the direction of the Program Director, the Lead Medical Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and implementation of medical services provided to UAC, including the hiring, training, and supervision of medical staff. The Lead Medical Coordinator uses sound medical and professional judgment and best practices to support the medical, safety and well-being of UAC in care while maintaining compliance with agency policy, TDFPS Minimum Standards and ORR Policy. The Lead Medical Coordinator arranges and/or partners with healthcare professionals regarding medical services, health and safety standards for out-of-home childcare, childcare licensing requirements, disease reporting requirements, immunizations for children, injury prevention for children, medication management, and knowledge of community health and mental health resources for UAC.
