Join the Founding Team at Kïdo River North – Chicago’s First Kïdo Campus Are you looking for a place where your work truly makes a difference? We’re opening our first Chicago location in the vibrant River North neighborhood and are seeking passionate, dedicated Lead and Assistant Teachers to join our founding team.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 19 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must meet one of the following: 60 semester hours (or 90 quarter hours) from an accredited college or university, with at least 6 semester hours in early childhood education or child development; OR A current CDA (Child Development Associate) credential and proof of enrollment in college-level coursework; OR An associate or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field.
  • Must be fluent in both Spanish and English (spoken and written).
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Actively working toward meeting Illinois DCFS Lead Teacher qualifications.
  • Must be fluent in both Spanish and English (spoken and written).
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily lessons using a thoughtfully developed curriculum, with opportunities to contribute your own creative ideas.
  • Create a warm, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that supports each child’s development.
  • Communicate consistently and thoughtfully with families through daily conversations, messages, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with your teaching team to deliver a consistent and high-quality educational experience.
  • Support the Lead Teacher with classroom preparation, routines, and learning activities.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to provide a safe, engaging environment for children.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and co-workers.
  • Be open to coaching and committed to your own professional growth.
