Provide support to ECEAP and Head Start program(s). Experienced in the use of visual supports PECS, adaptive communication devices, positive reinforcement system(s) and/or Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies, or willing to be trained. Administers first aid to provide emergency care. Support developmentally appropriate practices in the preschool classroom. Collaborate with teaching staff to support student IEP goals and/or needs. Assist classroom teacher and/or building administrator(s) with classroom management. Assist with preparing materials needed to conduct lessons. Assist with light cleaning, issuing of equipment for necessary activities, setting up, taking down and/or supervising students during age-appropriate games/activities. Adhere to District safety policies and/or procedures as well as required program guidelines. Attend and complete annual required training hours for paraeducator certification. Provide support, supervision and/or assistance administering tests, quizzes, exams, or any assessment as directed by teacher for the purpose of evaluating student progress or learning. Maintain accurate and efficient student records within student information management system(s). Assist with needs related to diapering, tube feeding, toileting, catheters, and/or lifting. Additional pay provided if performing these duties per CBA. Participate in District meetings to communicate information and gain feedback and/or direction on a variety of issues. Assists with supervision of students to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
