About The Position

As a Professional Tools Inside Sales Representative, you will sell and promote the RIDGID and Greenlee lines of tools and equipment and provided personal care to deliver a premium customer experience for assigned high-value accounts. You will collaborate and partner with Field Sales Managers to implement territory business plans and solve customer problems. You use strong customer service, problem solving, collaboration, and sales skills to build positive customer relationships and grow sales. You provide personal, dedicated support to assigned high-value channel partners and grow sales in your assigned territory by managing leads, proactively engaging with customers and executing sales opportunities. You partner with field sales managers to improve sales productivity and drive sales growth.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Inside Sales, Customer Service or Sales experience
  • Strong drive for results and high level of commitment to exceed expectations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in English (and French for Canada representative)
  • Basic Korn Ferry Competencies: customer focus, action oriented, problem solving, collaboration.
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications including Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Travel up to 10%
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field.
  • Experience with ERP software (SAP/JDE) and CRM applications.

Responsibilities

  • Grow Sales and own the relationship with assigned accounts (Non-Medal and Standard Distributors)
  • Proactively engage with customers to establish and maintain relationships and drive sales.
  • Provide information regularly thru outbound emails and calls, including but not limited to: Promotions New products Price change announcements Annual Minimum Sales Policy
  • Lead Management
  • Qualify high priority leads from Ridgid.com and Greenlee.com and other sources
  • Identify and develop sales opportunities by qualifying leads from a variety of sources including inbound inquiries, marketing campaigns, conferences, references, and tradeshows.
  • Generate sales by identifying upselling and cross selling opportunities and offering new products.
  • Respond to non-technical product questions, ratings & reviews on Social, ridgid.com, greenlee.com, Amazon, Home Depot, Lowes, and others, identifying sales opportunities and representing the RIDGID and Greenlee brands
  • Contact Factory Service Center repair customers with potential upselling and cross selling opportunities
  • Coordinate product demonstrations with the Territory Manager when appropriate.
  • Partner with assigned Field Sales Managers to grow sales & aid productivity
  • Dedicated contact to resolve issues escalated to Field Sales Managers.
  • Develop quotes and lead times for key projects.
  • Submit MDF requests.
  • Communicate MDF & Rebate status to assigned accounts.
  • Execute other initiatives and projects including creating promotion materials, executing call/email campaigns, and executing territory business plans.
  • Dedicated contact for assigned high-value channel partner (ProAction Medal Accounts) to resolve customer issues, improve ease of doing business, and develop deep customer relationships.
  • Respond to assigned distributors’ requests.
  • Manage each customer case from initial contact through satisfactory resolution, coordinating with a variety of other functions including Customer Service, Shipping, Credit, Technical Service, Factory Service, and Product Management to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Identify and report root cause issues. Gather distributors' needs, preferences, and pain points, and work collaboratively to share feedback and develop solutions for continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with Fulfilment Management Specialist to provide accurate lead times and update customers and sales managers until order is fulfilled.

  • The salary/pay range for this role is $49,000 – $60,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to the role.
