About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Bilingual HR Generalist to join our team in Ashland City, TN. In this role, you will be responsible for onboarding employees, administering HR policies and procedures, managing employee relations, and overseeing performance appraisal processes. Additionally, you will engage in benefits administration, workforce planning, and employee engagement initiatives. This position is crucial in promoting a positive workplace culture, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and providing support to both employees and management in various HR-related matters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in an HR environment, demonstrating a robust understanding of human resource practices.
  • High level of confidentiality, ensuring accuracy and completeness of records.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Word, PowerBI, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with UltiPro or similar HR management systems.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, including strong proofreading abilities and presentation skills.
  • Full proficiency in English and Spanish

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting day-to-day HR operations in a manufacturing, plant, or operational environment.
  • Exposure to employee relations and investigations, handling concerns, documentation, and escalations with confidentiality.
  • Experience in leave administration (FMLA, LOA, Workers’ Comp) and supporting leave-related matters.
  • Strong HR compliance knowledge, including employment laws, HR policies, record retention, and EEO/AA reporting.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
  • Previous experience working in the manufacturing industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide HR services and support to managers, ensuring effective human resource management.
  • Conduct training sessions and investigate both informal and formal complaints to foster a fair and inclusive workplace.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and implement robust data privacy and security processes.
  • Serve as the central point for first-tier HR inquiries, including benefits programs and policies.
  • Support performance management, grievance escalation, policy interpretation, and business event implementation.
  • Respond to employee and management queries regarding policies and processes, adhering to prescribed responses.
  • Implement and maintain departmental procedures, EEO/AA logs and reports, and personnel records to ensure compliance.
  • Provide general administrative support for daily departmental operations and training programs.
  • Process and track information for policies and benefits such as Leave of Absence, FMLA, and Worker Compensation.
  • Oversee the maintenance of personnel files and records, ensuring compliance with retention requirements.
  • Lead employee retention initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Participate in confidential investigations of complex employee relations issues as needed.
  • Prepare and represent the organization at unemployment hearings when required.
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in supporting overall plant operations.
