About The Position

As our HR Generalist, you’ll be the heartbeat of the Pedone Pinsa crew – supporting our team from their very first day and every step after. You’ll handle everything from onboarding and benefits to employee check-ins and compliance (yep, you’ll rock all the hats). Most importantly, you’ll help create a workplace where people feel welcome, appreciated, and ready to rise!

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or relevant experience in a business-related field.
  • At least 3 years of HR Generalist or similar HR experience.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required- both written and verbal fluency.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
  • Demonstrates high integrity- especially when handling confidential matters.
  • Flexible and adaptable in a growing, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills- you’re clear, professional, and people trust you.
  • Ability to stay calm and focused, even in challenging conversations or circumstances.
  • A curious, continuous learner who stays current on HR laws and best practices.

Nice To Haves

  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Promoting a high-performance, people-first culture that aligns with our values.
  • Preparing onboarding documents.
  • Assisting with benefit presentations and helping employees navigate enrollment or changes.
  • Supporting payroll processing by reviewing timesheets and addressing discrepancies.
  • Coordinating with office administration time-off requests and other leave programs with care and accuracy.
  • Creating and maintaining reports like attendance, new hire, and turnover tracking.
  • Support recruiting through job postings, candidate screening, interviews, onboarding, and sourcing events like job fairs.
  • Assisting managers in addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and improving morale in a timely manner.
  • Perform clerical tasks, such as copying, printing, scanning, shredding, faxing, filing, professional mail, etc.
  • Helping plan and implement employee engagement programs and recognition initiatives.
  • Supporting performance review processes including tracking goals and feedback.
  • Coordinating training programs and identifying development needs across departments.
  • Maintaining up-to-date employee files and processing updates in the system.
  • Provide complete support to the Director of Human Resources, HR Staff or other Leadership Team members if needed.
  • Provide full support of management decisions.
  • Complete special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required.
