The New Beginnings is an evidence base program that provides parent education and supportive services to at risk families within the Chicago area. The program aims to assist families to develop skills and strategies to support the healthy development of their young children (0-3 years of age) children and families. The Home Visitor works with the parents in their homes, providing early childhood education services in order for the parent to implement age appropriate activities and strategies to help the child develop their physical, emotional, cognitive, language and communication skills. The Home Visitor also provides supportive services to the families and helps them obtain community resources.
