About The Position

The Lourie Center, Adventist HealthCare, is hiring a Head Start Bilingual Home Visitor who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. As a Bilingual Home Visitor, you will: • Assist with selecting, developing and preparing appropriate instructional material for the parents • Conduct parent interviews and family needs assessments • Conduct developmental screening and assessments • Provide program parents with guidance on home safety, nutrition, effective discipline, constructive play activities, and other related topics • Assist with coordinating doctor, dental visit and other community needs identified by the families, including transporting • Maintaining individual records on children including screenings, assessments, referrals, progress reports, documentation of home visitation activities, etc

Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in early childhood, social work or related discipline preferred
  • Driver’s license with reliable transportation
  • Must have a minimum of a home-based CDA credential or comparable credential, or equivalent coursework as part of an associate's or bachelor's degree
  • 1+ years experience working with young children and families in the home preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
