Schedule Details: Barstow Office Building in Waukesha Regular business hours: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Some weekends/after hours required for community outreach events. 40% travel This position will strengthen and expand Pisando Fuerte across Wisconsin by building partnerships with Hispanic/Latino-serving organizations, promoting the program, and recruiting both provider organizations and Spanish-speaking facilitators. The coordinator will organize facilitator trainings, offer ongoing technical assistance, and support organizations in implementing and sustaining PF workshops. They will also help identify future master trainers, contribute to project documentation and reporting, and participate in regular team meetings. In addition, the role includes supporting a culturally tailored dementia initiative for the Hispanic/Latino community. ProHealth Care’s Hispanic Health Resource Center has an immediate need for a bilingual (Spanish/English) health promoter! This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic candidate with great organizational skills who would like to succeed in an excellent work environment. Candidate must be proficient in many dialects of Spanish and Microsoft Office. Great oral and written communication skills in both languages required. Multi-tasking and the ability to support other staff members are strongly desired. As a bilingual health promoter, you will be implementing evidence based programs in the Hispanic community with emphasis in nutrition, physical activity and chronic disease management. The Health Promoter will also provide support through advocacy services, care management and implementation of programs that promote healthy lifestyles for children, families and seniors. Duties may include providing support to child safety car seat programs, Living Well with Chronic Conditions (“Tomando” and “Manejo” Stanford evidence based programs,) facilitating group health presentations, become an advance care planning facilitator and implement nutrition and physical activity initiatives for all age ranges.
