About The Position

The Appleton Area School District seeks a Bilingual Grade 5 Teacher in Appleton, WI. Duties Include: Provide direct instruction to students in the Bilingual program via whole-group, small-group, and individual services; be responsible for preparing and implementing lessons which include building background knowledge, developing academic vocabulary, providing comprehensible input and providing multiple and varied opportunities for students to interact and apply their learning; monitor the growth and progress of each student and provide feedback based on content and language standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Education, Spanish or related
• Possession of or eligibility for Wisconsin teaching licenses in Bilingual-Bicultural Education (1023) and Elementary/Middle Education (1088) or Regular Education (1777)
• A high degree of proficiency in two languages, Spanish and English
