About The Position

A well-established Fresh Produce Distributor is searching for a General Manager to join their team. The position is responsible for the effective operation of the Shipping, Receiving, Transportation, Quality, Production and Facility departments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lead and develop people, build winning teams, and deploy learning opportunities that ultimately help people find the best version of themselves. Review and direct staffing plans to maximize productivity levels and minimize operating expenses. Adhere to budget requirements and improve efficiencies within the warehouse & fleet operations. Deliver strategic plans, continually revise and deploy SOPs, keep us relevant with customer demand and emerging ways of doing business. Establish, benchmark, measure and improve all operational KPIs.

Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance
Customer Relationship & Sales Support

Financial Literacy for Produce Operations
Export Operations experience
Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret P&L statements, manage budgets, and apply sound accounting principles
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, evaluate market trends, and make informed decisions
Proficiency in MS Office 365 and general technology tool
Produce Quality Standards & Shelf-Life Management experience
Active involvement within industry associations, groups, or networks
Bilingual English/Spanish required
